Optymate is a tool designed to simplify and enhance interaction with the Microsoft Cloud. While we prioritize security and functionality, users must acknowledge the following:
- Use at Your Own Risk: Optymate is provided as-is. By using this tool, you accept full responsibility for any consequences arising from its use, including, but not limited to, configuration errors, mismanagement of app registrations, or improper handling of data.
- Free Use and Responsibility: This tool is a free, non-commercial project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft Corporation. Use of Optymate is entirely at your own risk.
- Data Security: While Optymate implements industry-standard security measures to safeguard stored app registration secrets and other sensitive data, no system is entirely immune to breaches.
- No Liability for Data Loss: In the event of a hack, technical failure, or user error leading to data loss, Optymate and its developers cannot be held liable for any resulting damages or disruptions. Users are encouraged to maintain independent backups and safeguard their credentials.
- Responsibility for Compliance: Users are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate permissions and comply with all applicable Microsoft policies, organizational rules, and legal requirements when using Optymate.
- Indemnification: Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless the creators of Optymate from any claims, damages, or losses arising from their use of the tool.
By using Optymate, you agree to these terms and acknowledge that all risks associated with its use are your sole responsibility.
Data Storage and Session Management
Optymate stores certain data to provide its functionalities and enhance your user experience. Below is an overview of the types of data stored:
- Stored Data:
- Users: Information about the user for authentication and access control. The user or organization admin can remove user personal data.
- Organizations: Data about the user's organization. An organization admin can remove the organization.
- Tenants: Tenant-specific data relevant to Microsoft Cloud interactions. Both organization admins and contributors can remove the tenant.
- App Registrations: Details of app registrations, such as client IDs and secrets. Both organization admins and contributors can remove app registrations.
- Session Data: Optymate also stores transient data during your session:
- Device Code - Access Tokens: Session-based tokens used for API interactions. These tokens are stored in the session (not in cookies) for added security and are cleared upon page refresh to prevent unauthorized access.
